South Preschool Reopening Protocols

At this time due to COVID we are having to change our drop off and pick up procedures. Please follow the guidelines below for how to drop off and pick up your child at South preschool.

 

 

When you arrive please make sure that you and your child are wearing a mask. Please stand on the dots located outside the gate. The teacher will open the gate and ask you to step forward. At that point the teacher will take the child’s temperature. As long as the child does not have a temperature of 100.4 or higher the child will be allowed to enter the playground. At that point you will need to say your goodbyes. Unfortunately, we will not be allowing parents into the play yard at this time.  “Good-byes” may be difficult at first.  We suggest that you make it brief, cheerful and matter-of-fact, accompanied by assurances of your return.  At the beginning of the school year, tears are quite common during separation; please do not be alarmed.  We’ll work with you individually to make a plan to assist with your child during this transition time.

 

 

For our pick up procedures we will be walking your child out to your car. Please drive into the district office roundabout and wait for a teacher to bring you the sign out book. At that point the teacher will radio into the play yard and your child will be walked out to your car.
