Preschool Program
Monday through Friday 8:30 - 11:00

The Preschool Program provides each child with the opportunity to grow through enriched activities.  Classroom centers stimulate imagination so each child can investigate at his/her own rate.  There are also group activites to help the children learn to work together.  We offer activities to introduce and foster the growth of artistic and creative expression.  Children are exposed to a variety of experiences to develop their interest in, and to discover their relationship to, the world around them.

Preschool Class Daily Schedule:
Preschoolers arrive - parents sign in
Either, Open classroom for free play and puzzles, manipulatives,
easel painting or Spaish (Fridays)
Art and Cooking
Clean-up
Group Time
     Music, movement, fingerplays, songs
     Flannel Board
     Stories, books, tapes and visual media
Bathroom
Snack (cooking projects)
Outside free play and organized activities
     Climbing and playground
     Bikes and ride-ons
     Sand Toys
     Water play and wading pools (weather permitting)
     Balls and Bats
     Par Course
     Large group games
     Hikes
     Gardening
Music (in split groups, one day a week)
Groups 1 and 2 switch activities
Dismissal - parents sign out

Pre-Kindergarten Program
Monday through Friday, 11:30 - 3:15

The Pre-K Program provides music and language activities designed to encourage and early appreciation and development of good listening skills.  We also strive to provide communication and problem sloving skills through the dramatic play area, puppetry, plays etc.  Overall we strive to help the child master the skills required for entry to kindergarten in the following year.
